What is changing
Classes 3–8
CBSE has rolled out a computational thinking and AI curriculum for Classes 3 to 8, starting with the 2026–27 session.
Sources 1Inside existing subjects
The curriculum is to be integrated with existing subjects from the foundational stage, under NEP 2020 and the NCF-SE 2023.
Sources 2NISHTHA training
Teacher training is planned through NISHTHA, covering lesson design, AI-based learning resources and ethical use of technology.
Sources 2No lab stated
The coverage we found does not mention labs or hardware, so schools can start with kits in an ordinary classroom.
Sources 2Figures and dates come from the public sources listed above. Please check official circulars for how they apply to your school.

Common questions
Is this mandatory for my school?
CBSE has introduced the curriculum from 2026–27 for Classes 3 to 8. Please check your school's CBSE circulars for how it applies to you.
Do we need a lab?
Not to start. Kits work in a normal classroom. A Composite Skill Lab is a separate CBSE requirement, and we can help with that too.
Are your lessons aligned to the CBSE framework?
We follow the same progression as the framework: electronics and logic first, then robotics, then AI and IoT. Ask us for our current class-by-class mapping.
